AN AMBITIOUS MULTI-MILLION POUND DEVELOPMENT FOR THE LEVENMOUTH AREA

Levenmouth whale project

WATCH HOW

The Vision

The Levenmouth Whale Project is a community-led development with global ambitions.

Big Art, Engineering and Green Tourism combine to create a unique attraction which will draw local, national and international visitors.

It will boost investment in new infrastructure, generate economic activities and create employment in Levenmouth and Fife.

I’m all for this project – it’s a very exciting community-driven plan. It could pave the way for a big increase in tourism, especially when you consider the impact the likes of the Kelpies have had on the Falkirk area. It’s well-known that big art attractions like this act as a catalyst for urban regeneration.

COMMUNITY FEEDBACK:

Great idea and imperative for the regeneration of the area. The railway will assist with commuting and access to Edinburgh and the likes but it’s creating Leven into a destination town that will bring visitors and economic prosperity to the area.

An absolutely wonderful idea how much this would add to local regeneration and jobs.

The Kelpies in Falkirk and the V&A in Dundee have put their towns on the world map, and boosted their local economies in the process. There’s no reason why with a bit of imagination, energy and ambition Leven can’t follow their example.
