The action committee has really got the bit between its teeth and will be out and about at various events in Levenmouth over the coming weeks, letting people know about the project and drumming up support.
Following the great success of our presence at the Levenmouth Street Market (thank you East Fife Mail for the brilliant article), we’re holding a “pop-up” event on Leven prom on the 15 August, 11-1pm. The idea is simply to introduce any passers-by to the notion of the Whale Project and encourage them to give us their support. If you’re in town on Saturday, do come and say hallo.
We’re also planning to be at the next Levenmouth Together market which will be in the town at the Shorehead on 12th September.
Levenmouth beach is a fantastic and undervalued resource which the Levenmouth Whale Project aims to put centre-stage in Scotland. So it makes sense for us to part in the iconic annual Great British Beach Clean on Saturday 19 September. Equipment will be supplied and more details are to come. Please show your love for Levenmouth’s beach by taking part in this great initiative.
We hope to use funding from the Blueprint Project when it opens to provide people development activities to help our local people share the benefits of the various developments happening in our area.
In the meantime, don’t forget to get family and friends to sign the Great Whale Petition at https://levenmouth-whale.co.uk/whale-petition/ which you can share on facebook, twitter, instagram. Every signature counts. Just like the Levenmouth Rail Campaign we have to show future funders whale-sized support for the project.
Our action committee meets every Wednesday at 7pm via zoom. Everyone is welcome at our meetings. You don’t have to be a member of the action committee. If you feel you have something to contribute or you just want to see what we are up to, do zoom in!
For details of how to join a Wednesday zoom meeting, please email our chair Eugene Clarke <firstname.lastname@example.org> or give him a call on 07790 881760
